My story
I spent thirty years and a house’s worth of therapy finding my way through betrayal and back to myself — the long, expensive, bewildering way, often waiting a week just to understand what was happening inside me.
Then I spent my career turning what I learned into something you can actually follow. The Woodland Pathways Model is the map I’ve watched bring women out of the fog and home to who they are.
More betrayal is being talked about than ever. Almost no one is teaching the way through.
The work
My career began in the general population — domestic-violence advocacy, an inpatient psychiatric unit, school special education, community mental health, hospital social work, and private practice. Everywhere I went, I was learning the same thing: how the nervous system carries what happens to us, and what it takes to feel safe again.
In 2009 I moved into sexual-addiction work — first alongside the betraying partner, and then, as the field grew, almost entirely with the women on the other side of it: the partners. The ones who’d been handed all the fallout and none of the map.
Out of all of it, I built the Woodland Pathways Model — a nervous-system-centered, five-stage framework for women finding their way back from intimate betrayal.

How I work
I do my own work in the open. I’ll show you the path, I’ll hold the light a few steps ahead — and I’ll trust you to walk it as the author of your own story.
Everything I teach starts with the body. Before betrayal is a decision to make or a conversation to have, it’s a nervous system that has registered danger. Get steady first, and everything downstream gets clearer.
And you don’t have to be a client to begin. The Woodland Pathways Model belongs to any woman walking this road — through the free guide, the monthly workshops, the Sunday letter, and the books.
My hope for you is the one I hold for every woman: to know your own body so well that, in time, you don’t need me.
The Woodland Pathways Model
Every woman is somewhere on this path. The work is knowing where — and taking the next true step, in the right order. You don’t skip steps on this path — but you may revisit any of them for as long as you need.
